The main contractor can transmit site movement information manually or with Vastuu Group's electronic personal identification card, called Valttikortti. The Valttikortti is already a very familiar concept to most people working in the construction industry, as it is used by several large main contractors. It is a personal identification card that has been developed to improve occupational safety and combat the grey economy.
What is the Trump Card?
The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires that people working on construction sites and shipyards have an ID card. The ID card must contain a photo, the person's name, tax number and employer information. Valttikarti can be ordered from Vastuu Group.
Valttikortti is an electronic personal identification card developed by the Finnish company Vastuu Group, which is a so-called smart card. That is, it can be read electronically because the card has an integrated RFID tag. Valttikortti offers the possibility of secure and convenient identity verification in both electronic and physical environments.
The Valttikortti card contains the information required by the Occupational Safety Act:

4 benefits of the Valtti card
The Valtti card can be used on a construction site for many different purposes and has benefits in many different areas:
- Identification: The personal identifier includes strong authentication.
- Access control: Works as a stamping tag in an access control system.
- Working time tracking: In some cases, it also serves as a timestamp identifier for working time tracking.
- Qualifications: Verification of the qualifications recorded in the employee's Skills Register.
Trump card in access control
The Valtti card is particularly convenient because of its versatility. In addition to the fact that the information required by the Occupational Safety Act can be directly read through the RFID tag contained in the card, the card also functions as a stamping tag in several different access control systems. This means that an employee can work at several different construction sites with their personal card, and the employer can read the information electronically if there is an access control device that supports the Valtti card on the construction site.
In the Navisystem service When stamping with a Valttikort card on an access control device, the employee's information is automatically downloaded from Vastuu Group's service (employee's name, employer information, date of birth, user ID and tax number). The movement information is stored in the service and can be transmitted with a few clicks to Vastuu Group's construction site register service or the tax authority's own Ilmoitin.fi service. Thanks to this solution, the employee's movement information does not need to be recorded manually, which saves the administration hours. The tax authority requires the main contractor, who is obliged to provide information, to submit a monthly report on the employees working on the construction site.
Summary
The Valttikortti card has proven to be a cost-effective and well-functioning solution, which is why it is widely used throughout Finland. Vastuu Group and its partners are constantly developing their services to make working in the construction industry smoother, safer and more transparent.
