Mobile working time tracking and hour bank

What does an hour bank mean and what should be considered when using it?
An hour bank, or working time bank, refers to a system in which the accumulated rolling balance can be used for paid time off. Navisystem working time tracking The user can mark a sliding leave, which will be taken into account in the salary payment and deducted from the balance of the hour bank. Depending on the agreement, overtime and bonuses can be excluded from the system or transferred to the hour bank with a multiplier. For example, in the case of overtime, the hours can be deposited into the hour bank with a multiplier of 50 % or 100 %.
The revised Working Hours Act entered into force on 1 January 2020. The law allows the use of an hour bank in all workplaces. The details of the working time bank must be agreed between the employer and the employees:
- Are there any upper or lower limits for the balance?
- Do you want to reset the balance at some point?
- Which items are transferred to the working time bank?
- How can you use your time off?
How does the hour bank work in Navisystem?
Navisystem working time tracking automatically tracks a user's sliding balance. The user always sees their own real-time sliding balance in the mobile application, and the administrative user can view the balances of all users. If an employee works a day longer than normal working hours, the sliding balance increases. Correspondingly, the balance decreases if the working day is shorter than normal working hours. Sliding balance processing can be fully automated if special cases according to the collective agreement are defined in the system, such as weekday holidays, overtime and absence rules.
